ABOUT STITCHDOWN CONSTRUCTION
Stitchdown construction is one of the world’s oldest footwear constructions, dating back to the seventeenth century. The upper is flanged out over the top of the midsole, and the outsole is fastened to the upper by stitching through it. Like all other construction methods used at Red Wing Heritage, these boots and shoes are fully resoleable for longevity in wear.
